Error: 'Email address is already in use' - Online Bureau
Description

When uploading online payslips, you may receive this error.

'Email address is already in use' 

To resolve this error, you can either use a different email address or follow the steps below.

NOTE: These steps are for Online Bureau. If you use Sage HR Online Services, use our alternative guide.

Resolution

This error appears if you remove the email address from the employee's old record, but you haven't deleted them from Online Bureau. To resolve this:

  1. Double-click the employee's old employee record.
  2. Go to the Analysis tab, and re-enter their email address.
  3. Click Save, then Close.

Try again to upload the payslip. This time, a new interface opens with the message 'we've encountered a problem'.
