Check your Employment Allowance
When Employment Allowance calculates, the values appear on the P32 - Employer Payment Record report. Let's run that report now.
Go to Reports then Period End.
Select Form P32 - Employer Payment Record then Preview.
In the Criteria Values, enter the required tax month.
NOTE:
Only run the P32 for one tax month at a time. If you run it for multiple months, it affects the values for prior periods.
Select OK.
To check the Employment Allowance value, refer to line 5 - Employment Allowance on the P32.
Track your Employment Allowance
When you run the P32 report, your software records the Employment Allowance value for that tax month in a table.
With this table it's easy to check the values for the tax year so far:
Go to Company then Settings.
Go to the HMRC Payments tab.
Check the Employment Allowance column.
When you're finished, select OK to close this window.
The Employment Allowance automatically stops calculating when you reach the annual allowance for the relevant tax year.
If at any point during the tax year you're no longer eligible for Employment Allowance, you must pay back whatever you've claimed. Contact HMRC if this happens.
Collector of Taxes
Where you use the Collector of Taxes option to pay HMRC, the amount of Employment Allowance you claim for the period appears in the wizard.
