Configuring Sage Practice Solution to link with sage 50 Accounts

Resolution
  1. Open the Sage Practice Control Panel
  2. Click Log in
  3. Click the Sage 50 Accounts Settings tab and click Configure.
  4. Select I currently use Sage 50 Accounts for my practice accounts.
  5. Select I know where my Sage 50 data is and click Next.
    You are prompted for the 'Data location' of your Sage 50 Accounts data.
  6. If you know the data location location you can type this directly into the box or alternatively click on the three dots at the end of the line and browse to the correct location. The file that SPS links to is named 'ACCDATA.INI'. Highlight the file and click Open.
  7. Enter the Sage 50 Accounts administrator level 'Username' and 'Password' in the fields provided and click Next
    SPS will run a number of checks after which a number of green ticks appear.
    TIP: You may also see a yellow triangle for the option 'Access available to launch Sage 50 from Practice Solution', this is fine and can be ignored.
  8. Click Finish.
    SPS will now stop and start the SPS Server and attempt to reconnect to the Sage 50 Accounts data.
  9. Click Continue.
    The 'Status' will now show 'Ready'.
