Read-only user in Sage 50 Accounts
Description

Want to give a user read-only access to your Sage 50 Accounts data but not make changes? For example, to view reports or dashboards. 

It's easy to give this access, we'll show you in the steps below.

NOTE: This feature is only available on Sage 50 Accounts v28.1 and above. To install the latest Sage 50 Accounts software, visit our Install your software hub.

Set up a read-only user

  1. Log in to Sage 50 Accounts as Manager or as an Administrator user.
  2. Click Settings, select User Management then click Users.
  3. Click New.
  4. Choose the Read-only user type then click Continue.
  5. Enter a User Name and specify a password if required, then click Continue.
  6. Select all areas of the application that you want the user to have read-only access to, then click Continue
  7. Complete the Remote Data Access section if applicable.
  8. Click Save.


That's it, the read-only user is set up and has read-only access to the areas you selected when setting their access level.
