Q: I was told my backup will be in SQL format. What is SQL? SQL, or Structured Query Language, is a programming language used to manage data where there are relations or connections between multiple different variables. This means it is the most effective way to handle a database that moves information between entities (like pulling information from your Customer records and addresses and populating it in your Orders). Q: How can I read the data extracted? Sage do not offer support around importing your data into SQL. You may want to consult a Sage Business Partner or IT Professional. A knowledgebase article published by Microsoft on how to import a bacpac can be found here. Q: Will I be able to obtain reports, documents and memos? Prior to your contract ending, you can download a copy of any customised reports or layouts that have been designed and uploaded by yourself, Sage or your Business Partner. If you need to obtain a copy of any file attachments and/or any customised reports this can be done but only Sage can do this. If you require a copy of these files, you can request it by completing this link. NOTE: You will need to upload attachments again to establish the correct linkage if you are migraging to another sage product. Q: Is there a limit to how many times I can request my backup and associated files?
