All employers can reclaim some, if not all, of the statutory parental payments that they pay to employees.
If you're classed as a small employer, you can reclaim 100% plus 3% in small employers' relief. Otherwise, you can reclaim 92%. Find out if you're eligible before in our what is Small Employers Relief guide.
NOTE:By default, SER is not enabled and your software calculates statutory parental payment recovery at 92%. To calculate at 103%, you must enable SER using the steps below.

It's easy to enable SER in your software.
Click Company then click Settings.
Select the Eligible for Small Employers' Relief check box then click OK.
You've now set Sage 50 Payroll up to calculate small employers' relief. When you process statutory parental payments, you'll see this calculate on your P32.
Important information
Changes you make to the Eligible for Small Employers' Relief check box don't recalculate any payments you've already processed.
If you're eligible for SER and processed any statutory parental payments without SER enabled, SER doesn't calculate for these. You must roll back those pay periods, check SER is enabled and reprocess them correct a previous payroll run >
