VAT for voluntary filers

Dear Partner,

From April 2021, the way in which VAT submissions are made by voluntary submitters is changing. The ability to submit a XML submission will be deactivated, this functionality is used in our product range.

You can read more in our blog and we anticipate HMRC sharing this at a later date.

Customers can;

• Move over to MTD for VAT earlier than they planned. You can find out more about MTD in our knowledgebase or on our central MTD pages
• Opt to use the HMRC portal to submit manually

NOTE: If customers wish to move over to MTD then they will need to follow the sign up process in order to obtain the necessary credentials. 

We will be removing this functionality from future versions of our software, this will be communicated in our release material.
