Description
[BCB:42:CSat FB drive:ECB]

If your business receives any coronavirus related grants from the Government, and you want to show these in a separate category on your Sage 50 Accounts profit and loss report, you can edit your chart of accounts.

Cause
Resolution

  1. Click Nominal codes, then on the toolbar at the top click Chart of accounts.
  2. Make sure you have the correct Chart of Accounts layout selected, then click Edit.
  3. If you have followed our guidelines so far, you will have created a nominal code, usually 4950, which is already enclosed in the Other Sales range 4900 - 4999.

Edit the High field from 4999 and change it to 4949

  4. Press the tab key so you are on the next line. Label the next Sales range as Coronavirus Grants, entering 4950 in the Low field and 4999 in the High field.

NOTE: If you have used other nominal codes it is just a case of amending the ranges accordingly so that Coronavirus Grants can be listed individually on your profit and loss report.

  5. Click Save, then click Close.
