| Report Designer - running customised reports and layouts |
Description | When you customise a report in Sage 50 Accounts or Sage 50 Payroll, you must save it as a copy of the original.
The new version should then be run in order to see the changes you've made.

Resolution | Save a document- Select the document you want to amend, then click Edit.
Sage Report Designer opens.
- On the menu bar click Report, click Report Properties.
- Enter a new report name and description, then click OK.
- On the menu bar click File, click Save As.
- Enter a new file name then click Save.
- On the menu bar click File, then click Exit.
Your new fileSage 50 AccountsYour new report file is saved by default in the 'My <<name of module>> reports' folder, for example, for a customer report you will find it in 'My customer reports'. Once you've saved a new copy of the file, you can customise and save your changes as many times as you require. To see your changes, you must ensure you're running your new version, not the original file. To confirm this, check the filename and name columns.
