The Aged Creditors report
Description

Using Sage 50 Accounts, you can run an Aged creditors report to view outstanding balances on your supplier accounts. This helps you to track the amounts you owe to your suppliers.

Run an aged creditors report

  1. Click Suppliers, then click Reports.
  2. Click Aged Creditors, then select the report you want to run.
    Summary Shows one line per account with the total outstanding amount for the period.
    Detailed Shows the individual outstanding transactions making up the total balance for each account.
    Drillable A version of the summary report, with the option to drill down into each figure to show further detail.
    Contacts Shows summary information, alongside the account contact name and telephone number.
  3. Click Preview and complete the criteria window:
    Supplier Ref Select a range of supplier records, or leave this to run the report for all records.
    Transaction Date The date range of the transactions that will make up the report.
    Inc Future Tran Selecting this option includes any invoices, credits or payments on account that were outstanding after the date the report was run to. To include any future transactions that have also been paid after the report to date, you must also select the Exc Later Payments option.
    Exc Later Payments Selecting this option includes any invoices, credits or payments on account that were outstanding at the date the report was run to. You must select this option when running the report retrospectively.

Run the report retrospectively

To see the outstanding transactions at a particular date, select the Exclude Later Payments checkbox when completing the criteria window.

Common questions

Why does my Aged Creditors report not match my Trial Balance figure?

Can I run the report for a specific date in time?

To run the report for a specific date range, for example your year end, enter the required date range and select the Exclude later payments check box.
