The EORI number is also known as the Exporter Reference Number (ERN) or the exporter's Registered Exporter (REX) number.

Enter your company EORI number

In Sage 50 Accounts v26 and above, a new field is available to store your EORI number. In older versions there is no dedicated field for the EORI number, instead, if required, you can enter it in an unused field.

Sage 50 Accounts v26 and above

  1. Click Settings then click Company Preferences.
  2. Enter your Password and click OK.
  3. In the Details tab enter your EORI Number then click OK.

Sage 50 Accounts v25 and below

  1. Click Settings then click Company Preferences.
  2. Enter you Password then click OK.
  3. Choose an unused field and enter your EORI Number then click OK.

Enter an EORI number for a customer

There is currently no option to add an EORI number in a customer record. As a workaround you can use one of the custom fields in the customer record.

NOTE: If you have used all your custom fields, instead you could use a existing field that is not used, for example Telephone 2.

Rename a custom field to EORI

  1. Click Settings, click Configuration, click Custom Fields.
  2. Enter EORI into the either Analysis 12 or 3, depending on which one you want to use.
  3. Click OK.

Enter the EORI on the customer record

  1. Click Customers then select the required customer and click Edit.
  2. Click the Defaults tab then in the Custom Fields section you should see an entry for EORI.
  3. Enter the customers EORI and click Save.

Add your EORI number to an invoice

Once added as a custom field you can then add this to an invoice layout:

  1. Select the invoice layout you want to amend, then click Edit.
  2. If required, to make space on the layout you can click and drag items.
  3. On the menu bar click Toolbox, then click Add Data Field.
  4. Click once in the blank space where you want the data field to appear.

NOTE: You can learn more about moving or resizing existing objects through our help guide.  Read more >

  5. In the Add Data Field window, expand the SALES_LEDGER table.
  6. Click the required data field, for example ANALYSIS_1, then click OK.

NOTE: If you have used all your custom fields, chose the field you have decided to use instead.  Read more >

  7. If required, click and drag to move or resize the data field.
  8. On the menu bar click File, then click Save As.
  9. If required, enter a new file name then click Save.
  10. On the menu bar click File, then click Exit.
