Enable background updates
Description

To ensure your software is always up to date, you can enable background updates. Your software can then download and install small updates and fixes while your software is closed.

Cause
Resolution
To check you have background updates enabled:

  1. In Sage 50 Payroll, click Tools on the main toolbar.
  2. Then click Background Updates.
  3. Select the Turn on Background Updates (recommended) check box.
  4. Click OK.

From time to time, you still receive automatic updates that require you to take action to install.
