Edit the transaction 

NOTE:

Foreign currency transactions - You can only edit non-critical fields and the exchange rate on foreign transactions. To amend other critical fields, delete then re-enter the transaction.

 

  1. Go to Customers and select the required customer.
  2. Select Activity.
  3. Select the SC to amend then select Edit transaction.
  4. Amend the transaction details as required.

    To edit certain fields, press Edit again.

    Edit button on Item Line Details window.

  5. Once complete, press Save.
  6. Press Yes then Close.


What happens when you edit the transaction

What happens to the transaction depends on whether you're editing a critical or non-critical field and whether it's VAT reconciled or not:

Not VAT reconciled Critical field The software deletes the transaction and replaces it with an amended credit.
Non-critical field The software edits the existing customer batch credit with the new values.
VAT reconciled  Critical field The software reverses the credit by automatically posting a customer batch invoice. It then posts a newly amended customer batch credit.
Non-critical field The software amends the existing customer batch credit with the new values.
