Edit the transaction

NOTE: Foreign currency transactions - You can only edit non-critical fields and the exchange rate on foreign transactions. To amend other critical fields, delete then re-enter the transaction.

  1. Go to Customers and select the required customer.
  2. Click Activity.
  3. Select the SC to amend then click Edit transaction.
  4. Amend the transaction details as required.

    To edit certain fields, click Edit again.



  5. Once complete, click Save.
  6. Click Yes and click Close.


What happens when you edit the transaction

What happens to the transaction depends on whether you're editing a critical or non-critical field and whether it's VAT reconciled or not:

Not VAT reconciled Critical field The transaction is deleted and replaced with an amended credit.
Non-critical field The existing customer batch credit is amended with the new values.
VAT reconciled  Critical field The credit is reversed by automatically posting a customer batch invoice, then a newly amended customer batch credit is posted.
Non-critical field The existing customer batch credit is amended with the new values.
