Customer defaults

The customer defaults stores the defaults used when create a new customer record. To change these:

  1. Click Settings then click Customer Defaults.
  2. Select the values that apply to most of your customers including their Country and, if you use the Foreign Trader module, Currency.
    • Std Tax Code is the VAT tax code most commonly associated with your sales. If your sales are normally standard rated for VAT, choose T1. If you're not VAT registered we recommend using T9.
    • Def. N/C is nominal code used by default when you generate an invoice or credit.
    You can also select other defaults such as Fund, Department, Price List, Account Status and Terms Agreed.
  3. Click OK.
Supplier defaults

The supplier defaults stores the default tax code and nominal code used when create a new supplier record. To change these:

  1. Click Settings then click Supplier Defaults.
  2. Select the values that apply to most of your suppliers including their Country and, if you use the Foreign Trader module, Currency.
    • Std Tax Code is the VAT tax code most commonly associated with your purchases. If your purchases are normally standard rated for VAT, choose T1. If you're not VAT registered we recommend using T9.
    • Def. N/C is nominal code used by default when you generate an invoice or credit.
    You can also select other defaults such as Fund, Department, Price List, Account Status and Terms Agreed.
  3. Click OK.
Product defaults

The product defaults stores the default tax code and nominal codes used when create a new product record. To change these:

  1. Click Settings then click Product Defaults.
  2. Select the values that apply to most of your products, including their Sales and Purchase nominal code and Tax code.

    You can also select other defaults such as Unit of sale, Category and Department.
  3. Click OK.
