No updates showing or download status frozen as - 'Downloading'
Description


If another user has  downloaded the software, a message may appear to advise that no updates are available,  alternatively, the download may freeze with a status of "downloading" . This can also occur if antivirus or firewall software interrupts the download.

Resolution

Reset the status

  1. Open File Explorer, to do this you can either choose File Explorer from the Windows Start menu or press the Windows button and the letter E on your keyboard.
  2. Browse to C:\ProgramData\Sage\Accounts Production\Updates
  3. Right-click SageAPupdates.xml and click Rename,  then rename the file as SageAPupdatesOLD.xml
  4. Open Sage Accounts Production and click Help and select Check Internet for updates
  5. Click Check Now
