Description | To help you record customer details, sales to specific customers, receipts and outstanding balances, you can create customer records in Sage 50 Accounts. There are various tabs to record your customer information. However, most of the critical information required is entered on the Details tab. Let's take a look. |
Resolution | Access a customer record- On the navigation bar click Customers, then click New or double-click the required customer record. Read more >

A/C* | The account reference for the customer's record. Once the record has been saved, this can't be changed. | Company name | The customer's company name. | Balance | This shows the balance on the customer account. Here you can add an opening balance for your customer. However, we recommend you enter your opening balances later using the Opening Balances wizard. | Inactive | Select this check box to flag the customer account as inactive. |

Address, Post Code, Country | The customer's address details. You can now paste in an address by clicking . if you need to add more addresses, for example a delivery address, click Addresses & Contacts and New. | VAT Number | If required, enter the customer's VAT number. | EORI Number | If the customer has an Economic Operator Registration and Identification (EORI) number you can enter it here. |

Contact name | The name of the customer's main contact. | Trade contact | The name of the customer's trade contact. | Telephone | The customer's telephone number. | Telephone 2 | A second telephone number if required, for example, a mobile number. | Fax | The customer's fax or telex number. | Website | The customer's website address. |
