Online Documents keeps your payroll documents processes simple and straightforward. The safe, secure online portal allows you to upload supported file types, and your clients and employees to access payroll documents 24/7, from any device.

Before any users upload or publish any payroll documents, the manager user must set their access level and assign them to the appropriate groups >

Upload existing payroll documents

  1. Click Company, then click Settings.
  2. Click the Documents tab, then select the required payroll document.
    To select multiple payroll documents, press Ctrl + select the required payroll documents.
  3. Click Upload Document, then click Upload.
  4. To publish your documents straight away, click Login and Publish documents.
  5. Enter your Sage ID, then click Sign In.
  6. Or, to publish them later, click Close


Upload new payroll documents

  1. Click Company, then click Settings.
  2. Click the Documents tab, then click Add Document.
  3. Select Copy the document into Sage Payroll, then click Browse.
  4. Browse to and double-click the required payroll document, then select the Upload to Sage Online Documents? check box.
  5. Click OK, then click Upload.
  6. To publish your payroll documents straight away, click Login and Publish documents.
  7. Enter your Sage ID, then click Sign In.
  8. Or, to publish them later, click Close.


Publish your payroll documents

If you chose to publish your payroll documents straight away, start from step 3. Or, if you chose to publish them later, complete the following steps from step 1.

  1. Click Company, then click Online Document Settings.
  2. Click Do it now to Visit your Online Documents portal.
  3. Enter your Sage ID, then click Sign In.
  4. Click Online Documents, then click Pending Documents.
  5. Select the check box for each document you want to publish.
    Alternatively, to publish all documents, select the main check box in the column heading.
  6. Click Publish then, from the drop-down list, select which group of users have permission to view the documents.
  7. Click Publish.
