Scenario OneIf the update has been installed correctly on the first computer and the setup file has been shared across the network. When opening SAP on the second computer the message appears: - Open SAP on the second computer.
- When the prompt appears, browse to the Setup.exe file shared on the network and click Update now.
NOTE: If you are not sure where the first computer has deployed the installer. Open SAP on the first computer Click Help > Auto update configuration and make a note of the Shared Updates location. Specify this path when opening SAP on the second computer. - SAP closes, and the new update is applied on reopening the software.
Scenario TwoThe update has been installed correctly on the first computer but the setup file has not been shared on the network.(This is because you completed a standalone install) To correct this, copy the Setup.exe file to a network folder location and point the local SAP installations at that file. - Access the computer where the update has been applied successfully.
- Using File Explorer browse to C:\ProgramData\Sage\Accounts Production\Updates
- Copy Setup.exe file to a network directory, for example Z:\SAP install. All users must have full read/write access to that folder.
On the computers that require the update: - Open SAP. When the prompt appears, browse to the Setup.exe file you shared on the network and click Update now.
SAP will close, and the new update will be applied when you re-open the software [BCB:180:Andy Footer:ECB]
