Sometimes, when you make a submission to HMRC the following error appears:

'The entry in [TAXMONTH] of 12 is only valid if the submission is made between 6 February and 19 April inclusive of the [RELATEDTAXYEAR]. Please check.'

The happens if you submit your Employer Payment Summary (EPS) late.

Submit your EPS after you pay your employees for the tax period, but before the 19th of the next month.

• If you're submitting your EPS late, contact HMRC
• If your EPS isn't late, check you've entered the correct tax month when you submit the EPS
