Check you're on the main computer

1. Click Help then click About.
2. Under Sage Drive information, check the Site value.

This tells you if you're at the main site or a remote site.

Back up your data at the main site

1. Click File, then click Back up.
2. To check your data, click Yes, then click OK, then click Close then click Close again.
3. Click Browse then browse where you want to save the backup, then click OK.
4. Click Advanced options then select the type of files you want to include.
5. Click OK, then click OK again.

Update the computer that holds your data

At the main site, download and install your software on the computer that holds your data.

If your data is held on a computer that doesn't have a full Sage Accounts installation you must download and install the Sage 50 Accounts v24 Data Service on that computer instead.

Download Sage 50 Accounts v24

1. To download Sage 50 Accounts v24, click the link below:

2. If prompted to save the file, note the file name, Sage_50_Accounts_V24.exe then click Save.

Depending on your web browser, the file may automatically save to your Downloads folder. To view your download folder, press Ctrl + J on your keyboard.

Install Sage 50 Accounts v24

 

1. To begin the installation, locate and double-click Sage_50_Accounts_V24.exe that you downloaded earlier.
   To view your Downloads folder, press Ctrl + J on your keyboard.
2. If prompted, click Yes to allow this app to make changes to your device.
3. Select the I accept the terms of the Licence Agreement check box and click Next.
4. Check the location matches the directory you noted, then click Upgrade.
5. To continue, click Yes, begin installation.
6. Once installed the software checks for any updates, if prompted download and install them.
7. If prompted to restart your computer, make sure you have any work saved, then click Restart now.
8. If not prompted to restart, to complete the install, click Close, then click Close.
