Which computer do I use to convert my data when using Remote Data Access
Description
After upgrading Sage 50 Accounts, your data converts when you first open the new version. If you use RDA, which computer you must convert your data on depends on the software version you're upgrading from:
  • If you upgrade from v27.2 or above, you can convert your data on any computer
  • If you upgrade from v27.1 or below, you should convert your data on the main site before accessing it from other remote sites. The main site is normally the computer where you originally set up RDA

If you're not sure which version you're upgrading from, whether you're using RDA, or which site you're at, you can check this before you upgrade.

Follow the steps below to find out which version you're using, which site you're at and what this means for converting your data. 

  1. On the menu bar, select Help then choose About.
  2. Under Program Details, check the Version Number. If it's v27.2 or above, you can convert your data on any computer.
  3. If it's v27.1 or below, Under Remote Data Access Information, check the Site value.
