Which computer do I use to convert my data when using Remote Data Access?
Description

When you upgrade your version of Sage 50 Accounts, your existing data is converted to the new version the first time you open the new software. If you use Remote Data Access, which computer you must convert your data on depends on the software version you're upgrading from:

  • If you upgrade from v27.2 or above, you can convert your data on any computer.
  • If you upgrade from v27.1 or below, you should convert your data on the main site before accessing it from other remote sites. The main site is normally the computer where you originally set up Remote Data Access.

If you're not sure which version you're upgrading from, whether you're using Remote Data Access or which site you're at, don't worry. It's easy to check this before you upgrade.
