After you process a pay run and update records, you're able to send pension data. Your current process date must be on or after the process date you used to update records.
- Click Payroll, then click Send Pension Data.
- Send Pension Data opens on the To Send tab, check the submission details are correct then click Submit.
- You can click the Awaiting Confirmation tab to check the status of your submission.
- Click Close. You can use other areas of your software while your submission goes through.
- To check back on the status of your submission, click Payroll then Send Pension Data at any time.
Send Pension Data tabs
When you click Payroll then Send Pension Data, the window that appears shows four tabs.
Click the options below to learn more about each tab.
- To Send >
This shows you the submission details ready to be sent and includes employees joining or leaving the scheme, as well as pension contributions.
- Errors >
If there's an error, you can find out more in the Errors tab.
Depending on the issue, you may be able to resolve it in this tab. For other errors, you may need to close this window and make changes in your payroll software.
- History >
Each submission you send to Smart Pensions automatically appears in this tab.
To search for a specific export, simply enter a date range and click Search dates. To view more information about a particular export, click View details.
