Chart of accounts error - 'The following ranges overlap onto each other'

Description

Cause

When you check your chart of accounts, you can get the error 'The following ranges overlap onto each other:' with a list of ranges. This means that either the low or the high number of the category account ranges falls within another range, for example:

Category Account	Low	High
Product Sales	4010	4099
Export Sales	4080	4100 - This overlaps the first category account range.
Import Sales	4000	4050 - This overlaps the first category account range.

Resolution

To correct this, amend the ranges so that each nominal code is included in one range only, for example:

Category Account	Low	High
Product Sales	4010	4079
Export Sales	4080	4100
Import Sales	4000	4009
