The file extensions you should add are: - .ADS
- .DBF
- .DBT
- .KMD
- .MAP
- .MAX
- .MDX
- .PAG
These extensions should be added to the exception list in the antivirus software on every computer, including the server if the data is held there. NOTE: If you are unsure how to do this you should contact your local IT support as this has to be done on all workstations. If the data is on the server make sure you add the exceptions on the server.
Some antivirus software do not allow file types to be added to their exception lists. In this case, you can add the Client List path and the Default data directory to the exception list instead. To locate the Client List Path and default data directory, from the menu bar click Tools then click Settings and click Workstation Settings. It's also advisable to add the following SAP install paths into the exceptions list. These paths are: - C:\ProgramData\Sage\Accounts Production
- C:\Program Files (x86)\ApexWin
