Antivirus exceptions
Description
Add specific file extensions and data paths to your antivirus exclusions. This reduces file locking, scanning delays, and data corruption risks.
Cause
Resolution
  1. Open Sage Accounts Production.
  2. Select Tools, then Settings
  3. Choose Workstation Settings
  4. Make a note of the Default Data Path and Client List Path.
  5. Add these paths to your antivirus exceptions list a

    long with C:\ProgramData\Sage\Accounts Production and C:\Program Files (x86)\ApexWin

If you can't access the software, exclude these file extensions instead:

  • .ADS
  • .DBF
  • .DBT
  • .KMD
  • .MAP
  • .MAX
  • .MDX
  • .PAG
