Adding Sage Accounts Production file types and installation paths to your antivirus exceptions helps avoid data corruption and improves performance. Apply these changes on all workstations and the server if the data is there.

Add these following locations in to your antivirus exceptions list

• Add the Client List Path, Default Data Path, C:\ProgramData\Sage\Accounts Production and C:\Program Files (x86)\ApexWin to the exception list.
• To find these paths:
  1. In Sage Accounts Production, click Tools > Settings > Workstation Settings.
  2. Note the Client List Path and Default Data Path.

If  you can't do the above, add these files in to your antivirus exceptions list

• .ADS
• .DBF
• .DBT
• .KMD
• .MAP
• .MAX
• .MDX
• .PAG

Important:

• Add these extensions to the exception list on every workstation and the server if applicable
• If you’re unsure how to do this, contact your local IT support
