Send Pension Data returns employer contributions only for Pensions Data Exchange (PDX)
Description

When you set up Pensions Data Exchange, one of the steps is to match the pension scheme in your software to your pension provider account. Matching schemes replaces your Sage 50 Payroll pension scheme settings with the provider's scheme settings.

However, Nest and The People's Pension's (TPP) systems don't include the salary sacrifice setting in the data they return to your software. The providers also return contribution values as 0% for employees, with the rest from the employer.

As a result, matching schemes clears the salary sacrifice checkbox on your pension scheme, and changes the contribution percentages.

Cause
Resolution

Resolve this issue before you process another pay period. If you don't the scheme doesn't calculate as a salary sacrifice, and contribution percentages remain incorrect.

  1. Go to Company then select Pension Schemes.
  2. Select the required scheme, then Edit.
  3. Select the Salary Sacrifice Scheme check box.
  4. Go to the Employee tab and enter the required contribution percentage.
  5. Go to the Employer tab and enter the required contribution percentage.
  6. Click OK then click Close.
