ERROR: 'Error 1921: Service Sage SData Service could not be stopped...'
Description

When installing your Sage software, this message can appear.

This occurs when installing Sage software on an unsupported operating system. We recommend moving to a supported operating system. You can also disable the startup type to resolve this.

Resolution

Disable the Startup type

  1. Press the Windows key + R, type services.msc, then press OK.
  2. Locate and right-click Sage SData Service then select Properties.
  3. In the Startup type dropdown, choose Disabled then press OK.
  4. Close the Services window and restart the computer.
  5. Try the installation again.

NOTE:

Change the Startup type back to Automatic once the installation is complete.
