This is because either Microsoft .NET Framework 3.5, 4.6 or 4.7 isn't enabled on your computer. This framework is required for your Sage software to run correctly.
To resolve this you should install all Windows updates and then, depending upon the version of .Net indicated by the error message, follow the steps below.
Re-enable Microsoft .NET Framework 3.5
- On your Windows task bar, click the Start button.
- If you're using Windows 8 or Windows 10, Press the Windows key + X, then click Control Panel.
- Click Programs and Features.
- Click Turn Windows features on or off.
- Select the Microsoft .NET Framework 3.5.1 check box. This may take a few minutes.
If Microsoft. NET Framework 3.5.1 doesn't appear in the Turn Windows features on or off window, refer to the next section: Download and install the Microsoft .NET Repair Tool.
- Click OK.
Microsoft .NET Framework 3.5.1 is now turned on and you can now install your software. If the error persists, download and install the Microsoft .NET Framework Repair Tool as explained in the next section.
Download and install the Microsoft .NET Framework Repair Tool
- To download the repair tool, click the following link:
Microsoft .NET Repair Tool - Click Download.
- Select the NetFxRepairTool.exe check box. To download Microsoft's privacy statement, select the Privacy Statement for Microsoft .NET Repair tool.rtf check box.
- Click Next.
Depending on your Internet browser, the file automatically downloads to your Downloads folder or you're prompted to save the file. - If prompted to save the file, make a note of the file name, browse to where you want to save it then click Save.
- Double-click the downloaded file NetFXRepairTool.exe.
- Click Run.
- Select the I have read and accept the licence terms check box.
- Click Next.
- Click Finish.
