To recreate the issue.

Example

1. Edit a report or layout and add a box using Toolbox > Draw Box.
   
   Report Designer v1.3 and below - Edit a report or layout and add a box using Toolbox > Box.
   
   
2. Properties pane > Appearance > Background > finder button > Style > select Gradient colour > click OK.
3. Save the report or layout and generate it to PDF.
   
   

The box is corrupt or missing from the PDF.

Printing or previewing the report or layout displays the box correctly.

There is currently no fix for this, however a work around would be to create the coloured box in other software and save it as an image file. Then upload it as an embedded image in place of the box.
