Return failed to validate against the schema 1072897687: element BankName
Description

When validating a return for a long period where repayment details have been entered, you may see the following validation:

SchemaPlease contact Sage Support for further assistance because the return failed to validate against the schema.

When hovering your mouse arrow over the validation, it shows the following detail:

Error code: -1072897687Msg: " violates minLength constraint of '2'The element '{http://www.govtalk.gov.uk/taxation/CT/5}BankName' with value "" failed to parse.

Cause

This is caused by misssing Bank Details in the Repayments section.

Resolution

To resolve this validation:

  1. Select Tax payments, Repayment Details
  2. Ensure the Year End section is completed, including the Bank Name and other details.
  3. If this is a long period, select Period End and complete this section.
  4. Select Tag Computation and re-tag your computation

Once this has been completed, please attempt your submission again.
