In Sage Report Designer there are options available to restore the desktop to its default view. This can be especially useful when the menu panes such as Properties and Variables don't appear.

TIP: You can check your Report Designer version in Help > About > Application > File Version..

To reset Report Designer v1.4 or above.

To reset to the default view, open Report Designer, then

• View > Reset Default View.

The Report Designer desktop reverts to the default view.

TIP: After resetting the view, you can open any required panes from the View menu. If you have chosen to auto-hide any of your Report Designer panes, the name appears in a tab to the left or right of your window. To expand a pane, click on its name.

To reset Report Designer v1.3 and below

To reset to the default view, open Report Designer, then

• Tools > Options > select the Reset Settings (occurs at next start-up) check box > OK > File > Exit.

When you next open Report Designer it uses the default view.
