Your VAT options in Sage Accounts are determined by how you set your regional settings on your computer.

If set to UK, the Scales charges, UK VAT Return, EC Sales and Reverse charge options appear.

If set to Ireland, the Irish VAT Return, VIES Return and RTD options appear.

NOTE: If you've a multi-company version of Sage 50 Accounts and have a mixture of Irish and UK companies, we recommend you access them on different machines.

1. Hold down the Windows key and press R then type intl.cpl and click OK.
   
   The Region window appears.
2. Click the Format drop-down and select the required option:
   

   UK	English (United Kingdom)
   Ireland	English (Ireland)

3. Click Apply, then click OK.

Now all companies in Sage Accounts have the relevant VAT options for the country you've selected.
