The regional settings on your computer determine your VAT options in Sage 50 Accounts.

If set to UK, the Scales charges, UK VAT Return, EC Sales and Reverse charge options appear.

If set to Ireland, the Irish VAT Return, VIES Return and RTD options appear.

NOTE: If you use both Irish and UK companies, we recommend accessing them on separate computers to avoid regional setting issues.

1. Hold down the Windows key and press R.
2. Type intl.cpl and click OK.
   
   The Region window appears.
3. Click the Format drop-down and select the required option:
   

   UK	English (United Kingdom)
   Ireland	English (Ireland)

4. Click Apply, then click OK.

Now all companies in Sage Accounts have the relevant VAT options for the country you've selected.
