Before you start Try updating your licence information in the software: - Go to Tools then select Activation.
- Select Upgrade Program then click OK.
- Enter your Serial Number and Activation Key.
- The Account Number field will appear, enter this, then click OK.
Reset the subscription key TIP: Before you start, make sure you have your new licence information. Need to find it? Use our Find your Sage serial number, activation key and account number article. - Close Sage 50 Accounts.
- Hold down the Windows Key, then press E to open File Explorer.
- In the address bar, type C:\ProgramData\Sage\ then press Enter.
- Right-click SDK Licence, select Rename then rename the folder to SDK Licence OLD.
TIP: If you can't see the folder, select View, then Show and select Hidden items.
- In the address bar type the following relevant path:

TIP: This is held in C:\ProgramData\Sage\Accounts\XXXX. Replace XXXX with the relevant year, as per the table in step 5. - Click the button below to download the registry fix:
Download the registry fix - If prompted to save the file, note the file name, then click Save.
- Browse to and double-click the downloaded file.
- Click Yes, click Yes, then click OK.
- Open Sage 50 Accounts and when prompted, enter your Serial number, Activation key and Account number.
