To add a record count to your report

To show how many records are on your report, you must add a non-transactional variable into the Report Footer section of the report. You must ensure the variable's Function property is set to Count and set Evaluate Section to the relevant report section.

  1. Variables pane > expand the required table, for example, SLCustomerAccounts > variables list > select the variable that you require. Note: Select a variable which appears on the report for each item you want to count. For example, if you want to count the number of customer records, select CustomerAccountNumber.
  2. Click and drag the variable into the Report Footer section of the report > if an Active Complete window appears, click Cancel.
  3. Properties pane > Function > choose Count > Evaluate Section > choose the footer section which corresponds to the records you want to count. For example, if you want to count the the number of customer records, select CustomerAccountNumber Footer.

You have now amended your report to show the number of records included on the report.
