Update your HMRC credentials

1. Launch Sage Control Centre from the compliance menu and sign in with your usual details
2. Select Tools, Online filing (FBI), Online filing credentials (SA100)
3. Enter your administrator password. The default administrator password is egas
4. Ensure that your gateway username is correct, enter your password and confirm it in the box below
   If you do not know your gateway credentials, please contact HMRC on 0300 200 3600
5. You will need to repeat this process choosing SA800 or SA900 as applicable if you also submit Partnership (SA800) or Trust (SA900) returns.

Your username and password may, or may not be the same for all three systems, depending on how HMRC have set up your account. Having incorrect details will mean that any returns you try to submit will fail with a 1046 error from HMRCs servers. For help on this, and other HMRC error codes, please see

Usernames and passwords are stored per dataset, so if you have more than one dataset, you may need to repeat this process for each one.
