Previously Paid | This displays the number of weeks and the amount of SPP already paid. If applicable, SPP is paid in part weeks. (SPP weekly amount * number of whole weeks in period) + ((SPP weekly amount / 7) * number of days in part week) For example: An employee is entitled to two weeks of SPP at the standard rate of £184.03. There are 1.29 weeks to be paid in the current pay period. SPP = (£184.03 * 1) + ((£184.03/7)*2) = £184.03.98 + £52.58 = £236.61. The remaining 0.71 weeks are paid in the following pay period. (£184.03/7)*5 = £131.45. | Total | This displays the sum of the number of weeks and amounts previously paid and currently due. | - Check the Entitlement information table as follows:
Standard Rate Current Year | This displays the entitlement at the standard legislation rate, or 90% of the average weekly earnings, whichever is lower. Tip: If this spans two tax years, the weeks in each tax year appear separately as Standard Rate Previous Year and Standard Rate Current Year and show the applicable rates for each tax year. | - To save your changes and close the Statutory Paternity Pay window, click OK, click Save then click Close.
