Legislative information
Although our guides cover most of the legislation surrounding statutory payments, we know that you might want to find out more.
You can find everything you need to know about sick pay, maternity pay, paternity pay and adoption pay from GOV.UK.
Small employers' relief
All employers can reclaim some, if not all, of the statutory maternity pay (SMP), statutory paternity pay (SPP), statutory adoption pay (SAP) and shared parental pay (ShPP) that they pay to employees.
If you're classed as a small employer, you can reclaim 100% plus 3% in small employers' relief. Otherwise, you can reclaim 92%.
