Run as administrator
Description

In some circumstances, to allow Sage software to perform certain tasks, you can run the software as an administrator. This is to allow payroll to access and write to various files that exist in core areas of the computer. Such as Payroll.ini in C:\Windows.

If you run Sage software as an administrator, to email reports from the software successfully, also run your email software as an administrator.

NOTE: If you can't run the software as an administrator due to IT restrictions, contact your IT support to adjust your permissions. Our technical support can only offer limited advice. For extra support, refer to Sage 50 Payroll - Environmental Issues
