How to back up Sage Accounts Production data

Locating your Sage data
  1. Open Sage Accounts Production and close the Client list.
  2. Click Tools followed by Settings and Workstation Settings.
  3. The Workstation Settings window appears opening the Default Paths tab.
     NOTE:The paths required for backing up your Sage Accounts Production data are the default data path and the client list path. The default data path contains all of your client information and the client list path contains your client list.
  4. Note the default data path and Client List path, for example Default Data path: C:\Apexdata and Client List path: C:\Program Files\Apexwin\Main.
Backing up your Sage Data
  1. Browse to the location of the sub folder from your default data path, for example C:\.
  2. Right click the Apexdata folder and select Copy.
  3. Paste your copy of the Apexdata folder to a location of your choice such as a CD, External Hard drive or server.
Take the same steps for your Client List Path
  1. Browse to the location of the sub folder, for example C:\Program Files\Apexwin\.
  2. Right click the Main folder and select Copy.
  3. Paste your copy of the Main folder to a location of your choice such as a CD, External Hard drive or server.

If you have an existing backup routine, you can add the two paths directly to your backup routine.
