You can check the version of Sage 50 Accounts data by checking the size of the setup.dta file.

1. Browse and open the relevant Accdata directory.
   
   By default this would be:
   
   • v30 - C:\ProgramData\Sage\Accounts\2024\Company.000\ACCDATA
   • v29 - C:\ProgramData\Sage\Accounts\2023\Company.000\ACCDATA
   • v28 - C:\ProgramData\Sage\Accounts\2022\Company.000\ACCDATA
   • v27 - C:\ProgramData\Sage\Accounts\2021\Company.000\ACCDATA
   • v26 - C:\ProgramData\Sage\Accounts\2020\Company.000\ACCDATA
2. Right-click the file setup.dta.
3. Click Properties and check the Size in bytes.
