Transaction details display Deleted or Cancel - see tran (transaction number)
Description

The Details column can show the following on a transaction:

  • Deleted - see tran (transaction number)
  • Cancel - see tran (transaction number)

We explain below why these details appear.

Deleted - see tran (transaction number)

If you edit a critical field on a transaction, Sage 50 Accounts changes the original transaction. It then posts a new transaction to show what the original details were. This new transaction has the details Deleted - see tran (transaction number).

PI Transaction in red showing Deleted - see tran 88 in the Details column.

Cancel - see tran (transaction number)

If the transaction appears in red

If you edit a critical field on a bank transaction, Sage 50 Accounts changes the original transaction. It then posts a new transaction to show what the original details were. This new transaction appears in red and has the details Cancel - see tran (transaction number).

BP Transaction in red showing Cancel - see tran 1092 in the Details column.

If the transaction appears in black

When you edit or delete a VAT reconciled transaction, Reverse appears instead of Delete. Clicking Reverse or editing a critical field on a VAT Reconciled transaction, posts a reversal transaction with Cancel - see tran (transaction number).

BR Transaction in black showing Cancel - see tran 47 in the Details column.

You can't re-instate cancelled or deleted transactions.  Post the transaction again or restore a backup taken before you deleted or edited the transaction.
