| Set up and use custom absence types |
Resolution | Set up a custom absence type - Click Company, then click Settings.
- Click the Absence tab then, under Customer Absence Reasons, click one of the Description boxes.
- Enter a description, for example, Day Release.
- Repeat steps 2 and 3 for each custom absence you want to set up.
- Click OK.
Enter a custom absence using Diary Entry - Double-click the required employee, then click the Absence tab.
- Click Diary Entry then, from the Absence Type drop-down list, choose Custom Absences.
- From the second Absence Type drop-down list, choose the required absence type.
- From the From drop-down list, choose AM or PM then, in the From date box, enter the required date.
- From the To drop-down list, choose AM or PM then, in the To date box, enter the required date.
To enter a half day, choose AM for both or PM for both From and To drop-down lists. - If required, enter absence details in the Comment box, then click OK.
- Click Save, then click Close.
Enter a custom absence using click and drag - Double-click the required employee, then click the Absence tab.
- Click and drag to select the required dates, then right-click the selected dates.
- Choose Custom Absence Types, then choose the required absence type.
- Choose the absence length then, if required, enter absence details in the Comments box.
- Click OK, then click Save.
- Click Close.
